The World 110 Glitch is one of the most devastating glitches in RuneScape history.

The Glitch

At one time, there was a player named Donovan99. During the RuneScape Grand Exchange release, he was the very first player to log into RuneScape after the update. But there was something wrong, very wrong. As he logged in, he somehow managed to bypass the update and became a Jagex Moderator. He then turned everyone who logged in into Jagex Moderators. Everybody else who logged in have become Jagex Moderators.

The Devastation

All the players, even free players have turned into Jagex mods. Most players spawned an unlimited number of rare items and high level equipment. Some were banning their rivals and enemies, while others were banning anyone they see. Current Jagex mods couldn't do much because everyone else were Jagex mods. After the next hour, more than 1240 people were banned. Peoples banks are filling with rares. Party hats turned from 200 in the whole game to 20 billion. Hundreds of monsters were spawned in major cities. Even the starters on tutorial island were Jagex mods.

Fall of RuneScape

Jagex could only watch while RuneScape was being torn apart by other players. They couldn't shut down the servers because of the number of Jagex mods hacking into their game mainframe until that time where another player named 13dreams, who had bypassed previous updates without Jagex knowing, shut down RuneScape and all of its servers. All players logged out of the server except for 13dreams. He personally took over RuneScape. He had edited and costumized all aspects of RuneScape such as Clan Wars being a Cooking skill and barbarian floating over the River Lum. He even managed to nullify some parts of RuneScape which would lag players out if used or entered.

Recovery

Later on, Jagex got an idea to reclaim RuneScape. They had used the previous update and then copied it to the current update. The whole game restarted and 13dreams was logged out. After three days, they had fixed the servers and removed the other players of their moderatorship. Players were now able to log back in but from the previous update. Any player who has gained any items or achievements until the Grand Exchange release update will be lost. All player banks were reset and all banned accounts were unbanned. Donovan99 and 13dreams were permanantly banned from RuneScape.
