A musket is a new type of ranged weapon that can be bought only in the land of Shuweiwu. In order to wield any musket, you must have first completed Mysterious East and traveled to the capital of Cholfel at least once. To wear a musket, you must have both Ranged and Firemaking.

Muskets are extremely different from ordinary ranged weapons. First, they can hit very high (for instance, the dragon musket can hit up to 970 in one shot) but take an extremely long time to reload (usually about 30 seconds). Though due to its great strength in attack, it is not recommended to use it in PvP due to its long reload time, and it is suggested to switch to another weapon fast and time your attacks with the musket.

All muskets use a new ammunition called gunpowder. You are able to load in 1 piece of gunpowder, but you can load more inside at higher levels and fire more faster.

Sometimes, muskets can become jammed when firing, and requires cleaning. It takes one minute to clean a musket out and be able to use it again.
