Life rune is a rune made using Loste Runecrafting and is used in the Magic skill to cast spells. It can count as every kind of Loste rune at the same time (but only one of each), so a spell that would normally require a plasma rune and two light runes could use two life runes instead. Some spells, such as Annihilate, however, require a life rune not used as a replacement. It requires level 100 Runecrafting to make, so because it's not tradeable, not many players own even a single one.
