The Gnome Port was a city built by the Gnome Empire on Karamja's East Island.
History[]

Gnome Port was built after the expiration of the Gnome-Human Charter, which states that gnomes may only live in specified areas of Kandarin. In 298 (5th Age), after 200 years of gnome suppression, the charter expired, and the gnomes quickly inhabited the world. The Gnome Port and various other gnome villages around the Entrana Bay and Southern Sea were founded then. By 303, gnomes had control of Shilo Village and Brimhaven. In 305, the Gnome Empire was granted sovereignty over Karamja. By 314, however, the entire Gnome Empire had been absorbed into Kardaramja, the fusation of Kandarin and Karamja. Many suspect that the Gnome Port was founded to keep an eye on Glough and spy on the development of the Evil Armada.
Getting There[]
Gnome Port can be entered by:
- Simply walking to the city gate.
- Using the gnome-glider system.
Shops[]
There aren't many shops in Gnome Port, but this city's sheer uniquity clearly makes up for it. The shops are:
- The Shitfy Tortoise Inn, which stocks beer and two local cocktails, T'samma fizzy and Ugli squeezy, which also doubles as a Food Store and a Cooking Store. Randone Gianne, Aluft Gianne Jnr.'s brother, can teach the player how to make the two drinks, and some other odd gnome things. Through him, you can also take Aluft Gianne Snr.'s test and play Gnome Restaurant.
- The General Store lies on an island to the east of the main city; you can reach it by going over the bridges. It stock all the normal items a General Store would, but also sells Sweetwater and various native fruits. Sweetwater is the Gnome Port's equivalent of Whisky or Vodka.
Bank[]
The bank is located east of the Inn. It has 3 bank booths, and 1 deposit box. There is a large banner mysteriously draped over the eastern wall. It reads, mysteriously, "Dry cleaning while you wait, coming soon!" Is this a message of things to come?
Points of Interest[]
Ugli fruit, Kumquats, and Pomelos can be picked on the island to the north of the city. T'sammas can be picked on an island to the east of the city, and north of the General Store island. Also, there is a dock to the south where lobsters, tuna, karambwans, and various other fish may be caught. There are also 2 gnome cookers in the city, one in the Shifty Tortoise and the other in a building on the island north of the city. There is a Gnome-glider in the southern part of the city.
Trivia[]
- Despite its name, Gnome Port cannot be reached by ship.
- The gate can be used to come in, but unless you have a Thieving level of 10 to pick the auto-lock mechanism on the gate designed to keep natives out, you cannot leave except on a Gnome-glider.
- Before the city was here, the Gnome Glider stand right in the center.
