The dragon kiteshield is a piece of dragon equipment, and is currently the best non-degradable shield in the game. The shield is a upgraded version of a pure dragon emblem. To wield the shield, a player must have at least 60 Defence and must have completed the Elite Legends' Quest. This shield is also worn by Master Elijah who is found in the Infused Dragon Dungeon.
The Dragon kiteshield is made up of a left half and a right half, which may be combined by using them with a hammer on an anvil (level 92 Smithing is required). Once you combined the halves of the shield you receive a Pure dragon emblem which can be infused with a Dragon sq shield in the Infused Dragon Dungeon to create a dragon kiteshield.
The Dragon kiteshield is yet to be made, and therefore Jagex has not released an official price. Once you obtain the pure dragon emblem and try to infuse it with the Dragon sq shield you get the message:
Master Elijah still doesn't trust me enough to use his Infusion furnace, maybe we should wait until he is ready before doing that.
Upon release each separate piece was worth 12,000,000 coins and the pure dragon emblem was worth a total of 30,000,000 coins.

Abilities[]
The Dragon kiteshield uses the following abilities:
- The shield can be used to block dragon breath to the same effect as an Anti-dragon shield and the Dragonfire shield.
- When equipped, the player can use the shield's new emote: Dragon Roar.
- Unlike any other dragon armour this shield has an emote and has abilities.
- Also, unlike any other dragon armour, this shield has a +8 Strength bonus.
Emblem[]
The Pure dragon emblem is created by smithing together both the shard right half and the shard left half. Once you have obtained the Pure dragon emblem you are able to equip it as a shield, although it has no special abilities. It also has the same level requirement as the Dragon kiteshield (level 60 Defence). Players can buy the shield from the GE.
Once the two pieces have been combined into the Pure dragon emblem it can be defused if you speak to Elijah, he will defuse the emblem for you for 1,000,000 coins and return the two pieces to you.
