The Courier is a NPC that is seen during the quest An Ancient Myth, and is the character who approaches you to start the quest. The interesting thing about this person is that his outfit changed based off of wherever you are whenever you obtain the last skill requirement. For example, if you are slaying a Dragon creature, he will have an Anti-Dragonfire Shield. Likewise, if you are in the God Wars Dungeon, he will have an outfit related to whatever zone you are at.

- He has the most outfits of any RuneScape character.
- There was previously a glitch where, if you attacked anything, or was attacked when he was running towards you, he ran past you, and you could never start the quest. This has since been fixed.
- He is scene at the very end of the quest as well, this time wearing full Veracs with an Armadyl godsword.
