The celestial pickaxe is one of the three celestial tools and notably the strongest and most efficient pickaxe in the game. It requires an Attack level of 110 to wield and a Mining level of 111 to use. The pickaxe is able to mine through coal and mithril rocks at extremely fast rates.
It can be acquired by buying it from the Grand Exchange, or it can be found as a very rare drop from Lord Terket. A player would need 80 Mining, Smithing, Fishing, Cooking, Woodcutting and Firemaking in order to acquire the items that unlock the seal to the room with Lord Terket inside, but then the player would have to go up against this gruesome monster which is incredibly difficult to defeat, even then after the beast is defeated, it only has a 1/500 chance of dropping the pickaxe, so it's proven that acquiring the pickaxe is very difficult if a player cannot afford to buy it from the Grand Exchange.
The pickaxe degrades over time, and is the only pickaxe to do so. After it loses all its charges, it becomes completely useless. It can be repaired by taking it to either the Fire balancer, Earth balancer or Water balancer, who will repair the pickaxe back to 100% but with a cost of 10 Sacrite ores, 10 Red dolphin and 10 Marbury logs, which can only be acquired with level 80 is the same skills as before, effectively adding a level requirement for repairing the hatchet. If a player doesn't meet the requirements, they'll have to sell the uncharged pickaxe and buy a new fully charged one, which involves a loss of 500,000 gp. The pickaxe also has two hidden abilities, one of which has a 4% chance of receiving two ores at once, and another ability which increases the chance of receiving gems by 20% (including the oceanstone and thunderstone).
